Natasha Harding is ready for a new challenge after joining Reading Women

Wales vice-captain Natasha Harding has joined Reading Women on a "long-term deal" after leaving Liverpool Ladies.

Harding was a regular for Liverpool after joining from Manchester City in January 2016, but turned down a new contract offer and left the club last month.

"It was a tough decision but I needed a new challenge," the 28-year-old told Sky Sports News. "I'm in really good scoring form at the minute so why not do it when I'm full of confidence.

"She's a player with a huge amount of WSL1 experience and is someone who can strengthen our attacking threat.

"She's scored four goals in five league games already this season which speaks volumes for her ability".

Reading sit fifth in WSL 1 and their place in the top level of women's football is secure after their Tier One licence was approved by the Football Association in December 2017.
