      Wolfsburg secured top spot in Uefa Cup Group E ahead of AC Milan with a 2-2 draw against the Italian side. Wolfsburg started the night in pole position after winning their first three group games but they fell behind on 15 minutes as Massimo Ambrosini headed home Clarence Seedorf's corner. Cristian Zaccardo equalised in the 55th minute with a neat finish from Marcel Schafer's cross. Milan's lead was restored just 60 seconds later when Alexandre Pato picked up a pass from Filippo Inzaghi and netted past Diego Benaglio. However, Mahir Saglik struck nine minutes from time as Wolfsburg made it through to the last 32 as group winners. Milan finished as runners-up with eight points and also advance along with third-placed Braga.
