      Kirk Hudson's stunning volley secured a 2-1 victory for Aldershot against bottom club Luton.

      Hudson nets winner in 2-1 triumph

      Kirk Hudson's stunning second-half volley secured a 2-1 victory for Aldershot to leave Luton 13 points adrift at the bottom of the League Two table. Lewis Chalmers' wonderful lofted through-ball found Hudson sprinting clear four minutes after the interval and his brilliant strike into the far corner gave Dean Brill no chance. The Shots took the lead when Sol Davis' clumsy challenge on John Grant gave on-loan Reading midfielder Scott Davies the chance from the spot in the 15th minute. Hatters keeper Brill pulled of a fine save but the Shots' top scorer was on hand to poke home his 13th of the season. Luton deservedly equalised after 34 minutes when Tom Craddock lashed home a left-foot drive from eight yards after Asa Hall's neat pullback. Former Middlesbrough starlet Craddock and Ian Henderson had earlier come close for the visitors in an end-to-end first half. Free-scoring midfielder Davies crashed a stunning 30-yard drive against the bar as Aldershot searched for the clincher, while Shots keeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz saved from Chris Martin and Lewis Emanuel.
