Worries for both sides ahead of Lancashire derby

Blackpool have doubts over two players for the derby against Preston North End, whose plans have been hit by injury. Paul Dickov and Claus Jorgensen remain concerns for Blackpool after missing the 3-2 loss at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday. Veteran striker Dickov will undergo a fitness test on a hamstring injury, while Jorgensen must prove he has recovered from a knee problem. The Seasiders' only other absentee for the game is captain Michael Jackson, who faces a lengthy spell out of action with a hamstring injury.

Preston news

Craig Beattie and Liam Chilvers will both miss the game at Bloomfield Road and are set for stints on the sidelines. Beattie, signed on loan from West Brom at the start of the month, suffered a hamstring injury on his debut against Leicester and will be out for at least six weeks. Chilvers ruptured his Achilles tendon during the warm-up ahead of the game at Charlton last weekend and has been ruled out for nine months after undergoing surgery. Defender Michael Hart is nearing full fitness following his hip injury and is set to play for the reserves against Morecambe on Thursday. Richard Chaplow is still doubtful with his hamstring injury as Preston chase a fourth consecutive Championship win.
