Bournemouth v Carlisle preview

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Bournemouth and Carlisle at Dean Court.

Bournemouth's record signing Matt Tubbs is doubtful for the Cherries. Forward Tubbs, who made his money-spinning move to Dorset from Crawley in January, has strained his groin and will be given a late fitness test. If Tubbs were to miss out it would give Cherries boss Lee Bradbury a dilemma up front given that Charlie Sheringham is out for the season with a foot injury. Bradbury's midfield could be reinforced by the return of Marc Pugh, who is likely to play following an ankle ligament injury, while Harry Arter is back in training after his back problem. Captain Adam Barrett (hamstring) featured in a 45-minute run-out for the reserves on Tuesday so may play a part while midfielder Shaun Cooper (ligament damage) is in contention. Goalkeeper Shwan Jalal (back), defender Stephen Purches (double leg break) and midfielder Mark Molesley (ankle) all remain out. Carlisle manager Greg Abbott is hoping to have striker Jordan Cook in his squad. Cook, on loan from Sunderland, stepped off the bench to change the game in Carlisle's favour in last week's home win over Bury. But that was the last match of his current loan spell and Abbott has been in talks this week with the 21-year-old about extending his stay at Brunton Park. Abbott, who has no new injury or suspension problems, will otherwise choose his side from an unchanged squad. Matty Robson remains sidelined with a back problem so Chris Chantler will resume at left-back, where he has been in impressive form in recent weeks. Abbott must decide whether to retain Danny Livesey in central defence alongside Peter Murphy or recall Slovakia international Lubo Michalik.
