Bournemouth v Oldham preview

Image: Daniels: Set for Bournemouth debut

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash Bournemouth and Oldham at the Seward Stadium.

Bournemouth are boosted by the return of several first-team players. Manager Lee Bradbury can call on the quartet who were cup-tied for the 3-2 midweek defeat at Gillingham. Wes Fogden, Charlie Sheringham, Jaime Peters and Steve Cook were all ineligible for the match at the Priestfield Stadium but can feature against the visiting Latics. Defender Charlie Daniels is expected to make his debut after making the switch from Leyton Orient on Thursday, and midfielders Steven Gregory and Shaun Cooper are both available having recovered from injuries. Shaun McDonald has resumed training after recovering from a fractured toe but he is unlikely to play a part, with the club targeting the match against Huddersfield in a fortnight as his comeback date. Robbie Simpson is Oldham's only fitness doubt. Simpson was struck down with tonsilitis last week but climbed off his sickbed to fire a hat-trick in Latics' emphatic 5-2 victory over Chesterfield. The on-loan Huddersfield striker spent the subsequent days recuperating and will be assessed having returned to training on Thursday. "Robbie wants to play, but if he is not 100% fit he will not be risked," boss Paul Dickov told Oldham's official website. James Tarkowski is the only addition to the squad that saw off the Spireites. The centre-back takes the place of fellow defender Carl Winchester, who suffered a knock in the reserve team friendly against Fleetwood Town in midweek.
