    Brentford v Tranmere preview

Image: Logan: Faces late test for Bees

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Brentford and Tranmere at Griffin Park.

Brentford will check on Shaleum Logan. The former Manchester City full-back missed last weekend's derby win over Leyton Orient with an ankle injury and was replaced by club captain Kevin O'Connor. Manager Uwe Rosler has since drafted in more defensive cover in the shape of teenage Watford defender Adam Thompson on a month's loan. Rosler is unlikely to tinker with his side too much following their comprehensive 5-0 success but has said he will give young midfielder Jake Reeves a rest at some point. Midfielder Toumani Diagouraga is still on the sidelines with a knee injury and winger Kirk Hudson is a long-term absentee with a hip problem. Tranmere boss Les Parry is boosted by the return of Adam McGurk and Dave Raven for the trip. Both players were sent off in the recent 3-2 defeat at Notts County and served suspensions during last weekend's 1-1 draw at home with Sheffield United. Parry is hoping a period of rest will allow Mark McChrystal to be passed fit to face the Bees. The defender came off injured in the Carling Cup tie at Doncaster on August 9 and while he has played in all three matches since, he remains troubled by the complaint. Goalkeeper Andy Coughlin was replaced by John Courtney on the bench in recent games due to injury but returned to training earlier this week.
