Wright was to go one better tipping Louis Dennis' fierce drive away for a corner and when Dennis did have Wright beaten Harvey Rodgers was on hand to block his goalbound effort.

It was the Mariners who took the lead straight after the restart with a fantastic, improvised finish, a ball across the box found Rose who managed to flick and hook the ball beyond Grant Smith while on the floor.

Obikwu made the game safe 20 minutes from time when a dragged shot fell to him in the penalty area and he made no mistake with a low strike past Smith.
