Burton Albion will be looking to break out of a slump and scupper Bournemouth's promotion plans.

Brewers hoping to delay the Cherries' march into League One

Burton Albion will be looking to break out of a slump and scupper Bournemouth's promotion plans. The Brewers have seen their season peter out over recent weeks, with a six-match winless run putting paid to any hopes they had of gatecrashing the play-off places. The Cherries, meanwhile, have won four of their last six and know three points on Saturday would be enough to see them secure safe passage into League One.

    Burton team news

Burton hope to have on-loan defender Tom Parkes available at the weekend. The Leicester youngster twisted a knee during the defeat at Dagenham last Saturday but he has responded to treatment and is expected to resume training before the end of the week. Former Chester defender Shaun Kelly is likely to come into the side if Parkes does not make it. Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido is also hoping for good news on Artur Krysiak's fitness. The goalkeeper pulled out of the game at Dagenham after he suffered an ankle injury in the warm-up and was replaced by veteran Kevin Poole. Greg Pearson and Steve Kabba are vying for the right to partner leading scorer Shaun Harrad in attack. Aaron Webster, Jimmy Phillips, Romuald Boco and Keith Gilroy are also pushing for recalls.
    Bournemouth team news
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is keeping tight-lipped over his team selection ahead of the trip to the Pirelli Stadium. Howe has been forced to choose from a depleted squad for much of the season due to a lengthy injury list and a transfer embargo, but he will have 19 players to select from. The Cherries boss is expected to recall the fit-again Ryan Garry in defence, with Shaun Cooper expected to drop down to the bench as he is still not 100 per cent fit following a long-term injury. Mark Molesley is now the only player unavailable for selection due to a foot injury.
