Bury defender Will Aimson will return to contention for the home game against Morecambe after suspension.
Aimson missed last Saturday's loss at Crawley after receiving two yellow cards in the previous week's defeat at Lincoln.
Danny Mayor continues to be monitored after an ongoing issue saw him named among the substitutes last week. The winger stepped off the bench to score, but remains doubtful. The Shakers are chasing their first win in six matches in all competitions.
Morecambe skipper Barry Roche is expected to return to the starting line-up after suspension, with Mark Halstead set to make way. Goalkeeper Roche received two yellow cards in the recent home win against Northampton and sat out last week's defeat to Oldham.
Midfielder Kevin Ellison and forward Vadaine Oliver are among those pushing for recalls, but boss Jim Bentley is unlikely to make too many changes. Bentley felt his side were unlucky not to take at least a point off Oldham and is expected to keep a settled line-up as they chase a second win of the season.
Bury are winless in their previous four league meetings with Morecambe (D1 L3), failing to score in three of those games.
Morecambe have won their two most recent league visits to Bury (2-0 in October 2013 and 2-1 in April 2015), having won none of their first four trips there in League Two (D1 L3).
Bury have won two of their last three home matches in the league (D1), they last went four league games unbeaten on home soil back in March of this year (a run of five).
Morecambe have won just one of their last 13 games in all competitions on the road (D5 L7), and have lost six of the last nine (D3).
Bury have already lost six points from leading positions this season, only Grimsby Town (7) have lost more such points than the Shakers in League Two.
