Nikita Parris struck twice as Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-0 at The Cherry Red Records Stadium on Wednesday night to reach the Women's League Cup final.

Despite good first-half chances for Chelsea's Fran Kirby, Erin Cuthbert and Millie Bright, Parris opened the scoring from the penalty spot (49) after being brought down by Deanna Cooper.

And the England international slotted home a second nine minutes from time to seal City's spot in the showdown for the fourth time in five years.

City will face the winners of Thursday's second semi-final between Arsenal and Manchester United, with the final taking place at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane on February 25.
