Debuts in store for Robins, worries for Hatters

Cheltenham Town could hand debuts to three new loan signings, while Stockport County are likely to be without three players. Lewis Montrose, Josh Payne and Stuart Fleetwood have all arrived at Whaddon Road this week and could play some part in Saturday's match. Striker Barry Hayles is sitting out the first of a three-match ban for his sending off in the 2-0 defeat against Millwall last weekend, while last season's player of the year David Bird faces two months on the sidelines with a fractured toe. Defender Shane Duff has a calf strain and will miss out, as will Ben Gill (suspected appendicitis) and club captain John Finnigan (heel). Defenders Jerry Gill and Lee Ridley, midfielders Aaron Ledgister, Andy Lindegaard and Craig Armstrong and recent signing Josh Low have all been placed on the transfer list and are unlikely to feature. Forward Damian Spencer could feature after being added to the Robins squad despite being sidelined since the end of last season with a knee injury.

      Stockport news

Stockport boss Jim Gannon is expected to be without James Tunnicliffe (hamstring), Jason Taylor (foot) and Matty McNeil (knee) for the game. Tunnicliffe and Taylor have returned to training, but are unlikely to be risked, while McNeil is definitely out. Yung defender Michael Raynes is expected to shake off a knock in time to play and midfielder Dominic Blizzard should also have recovered from a bout of fatigue. Gannon's men lie 10th place after seven games following last season's play-off final success, and the manager is satisfied with their progress so far. Gannon said: "We've shown we're capable of picking up results and I know we'll get stronger as the season goes on."
