Bradford missed out on the chance to move into the play-off places after a goalless draw at Chester.

Visitors end losing run with a point at struggling Blues

Bradford missed out on the chance to move into the League Two play-off places after they were held to a goalless draw at Chester. Chances were at a premium in a fiercely contested game in blustery conditions. The best opportunity fell to Chester winger Richie Partridge, who was denied by Zesh Rehman's last-ditch block after 58 minutes. For the Bantams, Michael Boulding twice forced keeper John Danby into smart saves and a Paul Mullin header also called the Chester shot-stopper into action. Visiting goalkeeper Rhys Evans found a Kevin Ellison shot hard to handle after 17 minutes but managed to snatch up the ball at the second attempt as Ryan Lowe looked to capitalise on the initial fumble. Lowe also saw a curling effort tipped around the post by Evans as both defences held firm to ensure the points were shared.
