Team news for Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash between Colchester United and Wycombe Wanderers.
Colchester will check on defender Pat Baldwin ahead of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy visit of Wycombe. The long-serving defender has missed the last three matches with a foot injury and will be handed a late fitness test. Marc Tierney is on the sidelines after suffering a dislocated shoulder last week so Bristol City loanee Tom Williams should continue at left-back after making his debut in Saturday's 1-1 draw with MK Dons. Right-back Brian Wilson is still missing with an ankle injury, meaning John White keeps his place. Manager John Ward may opt to give striker Steven Gillespie his first start of the season. Gillespie has been out since the summer with an ankle problem but has appeared on the bench in recent weeks. Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole and defender Morten Knudsen (both knee) remain long-term absentees. Wycombe boss Gary Waddock is set to make changes for the trip to Colchester. Waddock saw his side record back-to-back wins at Stevenage on Saturday but is likely to rotate his squad for the cup tie. Veteran midfielder Gareth Ainsworth made both goals at Stevenage but is set to be rested so youngster Matt McClure could come in. Defender Dave Winfield returned from illness as a late substitute at the weekend and he could return to the starting line-up. Striker Stuart Beavon could sit out having starred in the last two games since returning from a broken leg, with Scott Rendell poised to play. Former Leeds midfielder Ian Westlake is available after he returned from an ankle injury, while Jon-Paul Pittman will be out for at least four months after undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his knee. The match kicks off at 7.30pm.
