Second-half goals from Tamika Mkandawire and Adam Boyd gave Leyton Orient a 2-0 win against Crewe.

Railwaymen continue to falter

Second-half goals from Tamika Mkandawire and Adam Boyd gave Leyton Orient a 2-0 win and left Crewe rooted to the bottom of League One to increase the pressure on boss Steve Holland. Sam Parkin thought he had headed Orient in front in the 16th minute but his goal was disallowed for a foul on keeper Steve Collis. Crewe took the free-kick quickly and Clayton Donaldson raced clear only for Glenn Morris to bravely smother the ball before the striker could pull the trigger. The visitors took the lead 10 minutes after the break when defender Mkandawire was allowed to spin unchallenged on the edge of the box before rifling into the bottom corner. Tom Pope then missed a good chance for Crewe before Boyd's 30-yard screamer in the 74th minute left the home fans chanting for Holland to be sacked.
