Dundee United collected their third straight victory in the Scottish League Cup, netting three second-half goals in a 4-1 win over Cowdenbeath.
Goals from Sam Stanton, Billy King, Scott Fraser and Matty Smith sealed a comfortable triumph for the Scottish Championship club, with Cameron Muirhead grabbing a consolation for the visitors.
United dominated both possession and chances at Tannadice, where Stanton opened the scoring on 30 minutes with a low strike into the bottom left-hand corner.
And with the second half less than 60 seconds old King, who provided the assist for Stanton, added a second from outside the box after being set-up by Smith.
The League Two club finally had their first real effort five minutes after the break, when Robbie Buchanan's shot was saved by Harry Lewis.
But with 67 minutes played, Smith was fouled by Jamie Pyper and Fraser made it 3-0 from the spot.
Fourteen minutes from time Muirfield pulled one back, the first goal conceded by United in Group C this season, and Smith completed the scoring 10 minutes from time, converting from close range.
