Federico Piovaccari's last-gasp strike snatched a point for Eibar in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Levante.

Jose Luis Mendilibar's Levante side took an lead through Jose Luis Morales after just two minutes and doubled their advantage before half-time courtesy of Victor Camarasa.

The visitors seamed to be cruising but an own goal by Pedro Lopez at the start of the second half revitalised the hosts and they then drew level through Saul Berjon's wonder goal. Victor Casadesus looked to have sealed the points for Levante with a superb strike of his own in the 79th minute, but substitute Piovaccari had the last word, with the Italian striking into the back of the net in the third minute of added time.

The result means Eibar move on to nine points, four above Levante, who were denied what would have been just their second victory of the season.

The visitors came flying out of the blocks and Morales tested Xabi Irureta straight from kick-off, the goalkeeper struggling to keep hold of the shot from the edge of the area.

Eibar's Saul Berjon scored a stunning volley in his side's game against Levante.

The winger had another attempt from the same area of the pitch a minute later but struck it with more power and accuracy on this occasion, the ball bouncing in off the far post and into the net.

Eibar took a while to settle into the game but soon responded with chances of their own.

Javi Lara struck over the bar from distance and then Berjon conjured an audacious attempted lob from 40 yards, but Diego Marino was able to tip over the bar.

Another fine piece of skill by Morales lead to the visitors doubling the lead on the stroke of half-time. This time the winger cut inside from the right to shoot at goal, but a defender blocked and the rebound spilled out to Camarasa, who smashed into the top corner.

Eibar compensated for conceding right before the break by getting a goal back right after the re-start, Levante forward Pedro Lopez inadvertently sending Lara's cross into his own net.

Eibar were intent on getting an equaliser and provided it in some style. Lara pinged a free-kick from near the byline out to the other side of the area, and Berjon met it with a sumptuous volley that flew into the top corner.

Berjon then set up what should have been the winner, squaring the ball across for Piovaccari to fire past Marino, but the goal was wrongly ruled offside.

The hosts then got another further kick in the teeth down the other end of the pitch. Casedesus played a one-two with Ruben Garcia and received the ball again on the edge of the area to fire into the far top corner.

With only 11 minutes remaining it looked as if Eibar would have nothing to show for all their efforts, but the game took yet another twist deep into injury time.

Piovaccari received a pass on the right hand side of the area and rifling home with precision at the near post - finally getting the goal he had been denied 15 minutes earlier.
