Moyes' side looking to extend unbeaten run

Everton will be looking to pick up where they left off before the international break when they take on Sunderland on Saturday. David Moyes' side are unbeaten since the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on 20th October, and had won five games in a row in all competitions before Tim Cahill rescued a late 1-1 draw against Chelsea a fortnight ago. They are now back in the top half of the table and will be eager to keep the pressure on their rivals for a Uefa Cup spot. The visit of Sunderland will mark Everton's first game since the departure of assistant manager Alan Irvine, who has taken charge at Preston. But Moyes could be boosted by the return of Andy Johnson, with the striker having spent the international break working on his recuperation from an ankle operation. Victor Anichebe is also expected to be available despite pulling out of the Nigeria squad last weekend with a hand injury. Cahill also missed the game between Nigeria and Australia after the Socceroos granted Everton's request to leave him out so he could rest a number of 'bumps and bruises'.
Keane boosted by returning trio
Sunderland drew 1-1 with Newcastle a fortnight ago to extend their run without a win to seven Premier League games. The Black Cats are hovering just above the relegation zone and may already have one eye on next week's home game against bottom-of-the-table Derby. Roy Keane' injury worries are beginning to ease, with three experienced players set to return at Goodison Park. Dwight Yorke could feature after four weeks on the sidelines and Andy Cole is also back in contention, although Dean Whitehead (knee) may not be risked after a lengthy absence. Carlos Edwards is struggling with a shoulder problem and Nyron Nosworthy is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines with a torn hamstring, but full-back Greg Halford is available again after serving a two-match ban.
