    In-form Toffees entertain Potters

Everton will be looking to continue their fine run of form when stuttering Stoke visit Goodison Park on Saturday. The Toffees have recovered from a disappointing start to the season to climb into mid-table, and will now be setting their sights on the European places. David Moyes' men are currently on a four-match unbeaten run, having beaten Birmingham and Liverpool and drawn with Fulham and Tottenham. The Potters' campaign to date can be broken down into three phases and they will be desperate to find more consistency. After beginning with three straight defeats in the Premier League, Stoke enjoyed an unbeaten September before slipping up again. They have lost their last two league fixtures and were also knocked out of the Carling Cup 3-1 by West Ham in midweek after extra-time.

    Team news

Everton are still without Leon Osman after the midfielder was ruled out for more than a month with an ankle injury sustained in the derby win over Liverpool. Mikel Arteta failed to recover from a knock in time to face Spurs, but Steven Pienaar returned to the side following a short spell out. Marouane Fellaini (hamstring) and Jack Rodwell (ankle) remain long-term absentees. Stoke are sweating on the fitness of Kenwyne Jones and Jermaine Pennant ahead of the trip to Everton. Both players are suffering with a sickness bug that has swept through the camp and had to be taken off in the clash with West Ham. Tuncay Sanli started at Upton Park following his fantastic goal against Manchester United last week and could be given another opportunity. Mamady Sidibe is still recovering from a damaged Achilles tendon that is likely to keep him out until the New Year.
