Exeter v Dagenham preview

Image: Tully: Back from ban for Grecians

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Exeter City and Dagenham & Redbridge at St James' Park.

Exeter will be boosted by the return of two players from suspension. Defenders Steve Tully and Scott Golbourne both saw red in the 5-1 defeat at Colchester and subsequently missed the 1-0 win over Swindon in midweek. The Grecians appealed both decisions but the one-match bans stood. However, they are now back in contention to claim starting places in Paul Tisdale's team. Billy Jones could be one of the players who makes way, but Tisdale may stick with the side that kept a clean sheet against the Robins. That win practically assured the Devon club of another season in League One, lifting them to 12th place with 52 points. Tisdale's men earned a 1-1 draw at Dagenham in September. Dagenham boss John Still will have Oluwafemi Ilesanmi back for the trip to the south-west. The left-back has sat out the last two matches through suspension after he was sent-off in the recent draw at Leyton Orient but returns to tackle the Grecians. However, fellow full-back Damien McCrory has deputised impressively after returning from a twisted ankle and will start again. Striker John Akinde (groin) played a behind-closed-doors game on Tuesday and is a week away from making his long-awaited debut after signing on a season-long loan in January from Bristol City. Midfielder Solomon Taiwo is out with an ankle injury so veteran Peter Gain will keep his place as the Daggers look to continue the fine recent form which has seen them move out of the drop zone.
