      Sheridan's men still unbeaten

Hartlepool and Oldham shared a thrilling 3-3 draw as the Latics held on to their League One unbeaten record after a pulsating encounter. Visiting defender Neal Eardley hit the bar after cutting in from the right before Lee Hughes headed in a right-wing cross from Danny Whitaker in the 23rd minute. Hartlepool goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett could only parry Andy Liddell's low right-wing cross, and Chris Taylor scrambled it in from close range at the far post. There was an incredible start to the second half, with four goals in 10 minutes, the first three to Hartlepool as they turned the game on its head by taking the lead. Andy Monkhouse headed the first after 48 minutes, and a minute later Antony Sweeney levelled with another header. Joel Porter earned Hartlepool the lead from the spot in the 53rd minute after Sean Gregan had pulled James Brown back in the area. But on 57 minutes Oldham came back as Taylor's low shot from the edge of the area on the left was deflected off Jamie McCunnie's ankle, sending Lee-Barrett the wrong way before rolling into the corner. Oldham skipper Sean Gregan was sent off on 72 minutes for a last-man foul on Ritchie Jones, but the 10 men held on for a point.
