Can the Bulls trample over Orient?

Three precious points will be at stake on Saturday when Hereford entertain Leyton Orient. The Bulls currently sit second from bottom in the League One standings, with only three wins in their last 11 outings leaving them six points adrift of safety. Orient occupy a perch just outside the relegation zone but, with only one point separating them from the bottom four, they will be desperate to build on back-to-back victories.

Hereford team news

Leading goalscorer Steve Guinan is a doubt for Hereford's crucial weekend clash. The striker, who has bagged 10 goals so far this term, is struggling with a groin injury and faces a race against time to prove his fitness. Midfielder Sam Hewson has also been struggling of late with a similar problem but he should be okay to feature. On-loan defender Josh Gowling will definitely miss out for the Bulls with an ankle injury, while Dean Beckwith could also be touch and go having only recently returned to training following concussion. However, fellow centre-back Karl Broadhurst is back in contention following the dead leg that forced him off against Cheltenham. Midfielders Toumani Diagouraga and Sam Gwynne among others are expected to have shaken off colds but goalkeeper Craig Samson (groin) remains out.
Orient team news
Leyton Orient manager Geraint Williams looks set to welcome back Stephen Purches for the trip to Edgar Street. The O's skipper missed Saturday's 1-0 victory at Hartlepool with a thigh injury but is expected to go straight back into the starting line-up against the Bulls. Striker Adam Boyd is still struggling with an ankle injury and is several weeks away from a return so on-loan forward Simon Church should continue in attack after making his debut at Victoria Park. Wayne Gray, who has been sidelined for almost six months with a cruciate ligament injury, is closing in on a return having played two games for the reserves but the weekend counter is likely to come too soon for the striker. Williams remains unbeaten following his first three games as Orient manager, taking seven points out of a possible nine.
