In-form Hereford play host to Peterborough as relegation candidates meet promotion hopefuls.

Liverpool loan stars to continue; Williams, Day, Morgan all out

In-form Hereford play host to high-flying Peterborough as relegation candidates meet promotion hopefuls. Herford have won their last two games on the trot and now sit just three points from safety, while Posh remain in third despite a poor run of results. For the home side, central defenders Josh Gowling (ankle), Dean Beckwith (concussion) and Karl Broadhurst (dead leg) are all expected to miss out once again having sustained injuries during last weekend's derby win over Cheltenham. Turner signed Godwin Antwi on loan from Liverpool on Tuesday and the defender repaid his manager's faith by starring in the 2-0 win over Leeds later that night. He is expected to continue in defence. And further good news for Turner arrives courtesy of Stephen O'Leary and Clint Easton's return to training after lengthy periods on the sidelines with back and knee injuries respectively. It remains to be seen whether either will get a look in on Saturday after the Bulls' resurgent form of late but the news will certainly provide a timely boost for Turner. Goalkeeper Craig Samson remains out of action due to a groin problem, meaning impressive on-loan goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi will remain in the starting XI.

Posh news

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson continues to be dogged by a plethora of injury problems. Posh have won just one in their last four games but will continue to start with midfielder Lee Frecklington after he came through the midweek draw with Tranmere unscathed, although defender Craig Morgan remains sidelined with a toe injury. On-loan Manchester United centre-back James Chester has provided fine cover in Morgan's absence and will continue to do so against the Bulls. Left-back Tom Williams (knee) is still two weeks away from a return so Charlie Lee will continue to be utilised at full-back but Jamie Day remains sidelined with a back injury. Shane Blackett has continued on the comeback trail as he featured for the reserves during the week but he remains some way short of first-team action after his four-month lay off with a shoulder injury.
