      Hull continued their climb up the table with a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at the KC Stadium. Dean Windass scored the only goal of the game on 33 minutes with a superb free kick. The veteran striker came off the bench to replace the injured Fraizer Campbell and nine minutes after his introduction he curled a brilliant free kick into the top corner past Lee Grant. Windass went close to scoring again at the end of the first half when he drove a powerful shot just wide of the target. Wednesday improved in the second half and came close to grabbing an equaliser when Akpo Sodje struck the woodwork. The win lifts Hull into eighth spot in the table, while Wednesday remain third from bottom.
