Seagulls out to avoid being mauled by Foxes

Leicester will hope to maintain their dominance at the top of the table when they face Brighton. The Foxes have opened up a commanding nine-point lead at the summit of League One after winning 11 of their last 13 games. In contrast, Brighton have won just one of their last 10 and are precariously perched just a point above the relegation zone.

Leicester team news

On-loan defender Kerrea Gilbert has recovered from a bout of illness to enable Leicester boss Nigel Pearson to name an unchanged squad. The Arsenal youngster had to be substituted at half-time against Huddersfield on Saturday after feeling unwell but he trained on Monday and remains in contention. The league leaders suffered no fresh injury or suspension problems in their 4-2 victory against the Terriers. However, Leicester will be without Mark Davies who has signed for Bolton after the midfielder was recalled from his loan spell by Wolves on Saturday. The Foxes did make a bid for the 20-year-old but he has opted to join the Premier League club.
Brighton team news
Jason Jarrett is in line to make his Brighton debut on Tuesday. The midfielder, who had a spell on loan at the Walkers Stadium in 2007, has joined the Seagulls until the end of the season following his release by Preston. But Albion boss Adams could be without utility man Adam Virgo, who is rated doubtful with a calf injury. Striker Glenn Murray is still sidelined with a stomach injury so on-loan Charlton frontman Stuart Fleetwood partners captain Nicky Forster in attack again. Goalkeeper Michel Kuipers (hand) and defenders Gary Hart (knee) and Kerry Mayo (hamstring) are also missing. Winger Seb Carole will not be involved despite rejoining the club on trial this week.
