Thelwell doubt for Os, keeper choice for Di Matteo

Alton Thelwell is set to miss out for Leyton Orient against Milton Keynes Dons, who have a goalkeeping decision to make. Defender Thelwell is suffering with an ongoing knee problem and is unlikely to play twice within a week, so he may well be rested when the Dons visit. Orient are still without Wayne Gray and Loick Pires. Gray is sidelined until January with knee trouble but Pires hopes to bounce back from a knee injury of his own in the coming weeks. Manager Martin Ling has no other fitness or suspension concerns ahead of the game. Danny Granville bounced back from a groin problem at Yeovil last Saturday and he will hope to retain his spot in the back line.

MK Dons news

MK Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo will choose between Nathan Abbey and loan signing Lewis Price in place of the suspended Willy Gueret. The French goalkeeper was sent off against Cheltenham for violent conduct and will serve a three-match ban after the club decided not to appeal the decision. Abbey came on as a substitute in the 3-1 win, but suffered a slight injury, which could lead to Price starting after his arrival on loan from Derby County. On-loan Plymouth winger Jason Puncheon is pushing for a place in the starting line-up after he came off the bench at the weekend. Aaron Wilbraham (ankle) and Florian Sturm (groin) have both returned to training but are short of match fitness. Craig Dobson is out with a stress fracture while Danny Swailes is out until the New Year as he continues his rehabilitation from an operation on his Achilles.
