High-flying Chesterfield will look for their first away win in more than a month as they travel to struggling Lincoln City. The Spireites could move fourth with victory at Sincil Bank on Boxing Day, but third-from-bottom Lincoln will be desperate to seal their first league win since early October. And manager Chris Sutton could be bolstered by the return of long-term injury victim Paul Green. The right-back has not played all season due to a major hip operation and he could very well start against Chesterfield. On-loan midfielders Anthony Pulis and Sergio Torres should both make the match after over-coming ankle problems.

Chesterfield hope Drew Talbot will be back in contention after being ill with flu over the past week. On-loan striker Davide Somma is also hopeful of making a return following a hamstring problem. Manager John Sheridan will also decide whether to recall goalkeeper Tommy Lee ahead of veteran Mark Crossley - who has performed admirably in recent games. Central defender Aaron Downes is back in the squad for the first time since April after a serious knee injury.
