Jurgen Klopp will bid to reach the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup with Liverpool against Bournemouth, while also trying to get his first win in charge.

Liverpool have drawn all three matches under the former Borussia Dortmund manager, the most recent game being a 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday.

Klopp will likely make changes as his side play Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge three days after the tie.

In the league, Bournemouth have lost their last two games, conceding 10 goals.

    Team news

Christian Benteke and Daniel Sturridge will both be missing for Liverpool. Sturridge is not yet back in training after a knee problem, while Benteke was ruled out on Wednesday morning. Roberto Firmino looks set to start up front following his substitute appearance against Southampton at the weekend.

James Milner is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season and the changes Klopp makes to his team may include bringing in one or more of the club's youngsters.

Bournemouth's squad is stretched. Cherries boss Eddie Howe would like to make changes, but long-term injuries to Tommy Elphick (ankle), Callum Wilson, Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel (all knee) will make that tricky.

Assistant manager Jason Tindall also revealed on Tuesday that they will assess "one or two knocks" following Sunday's 5-1 defeat by Tottenham.

Liverpool have won five and lost none of seven games against Bournemouth in their history.

Bournemouth have won just one of their three fourth round ties in League Cup history, last season's 2-1 win over West Brom.

These two sides met in last season's quarter-final at the Vitality Stadium, with Liverpool winning 3-1. It is the only meeting between the two sides in the League Cup.

The Cherries have never won an away League Cup tie against a top tier side in 90 minutes (P14 W0 D3 L11).

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he will have to make changes to his team line-up ahead of their tie with Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup

    Charlie Nicholas' prediction

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure Liverpool will be a stronger unit in time, but I think it's time that this Jurgen Klopp fantasy started to deliver. It's not a massive change of system and everyone is saying it's fantastic but I've never seen this sort of mentality when you haven't won a game.

Klopp has the backing of everybody and he does have a honeymoon period but he needs is a win to gather some sort of belief that what he is doing is getting through to these players.

There must be one guy in particular that must be frustrating the life out of him, his most talented player, Philippe Coutinho, who hasn't kicked a ball in anger since Klopp came in, but I think he is tailor made for a Klopp team and will come good.

For these reasons, I think Klopp will go with another strong team to get his vision into action as soon as possible, and with Bournemouth leaking goals badly, I'm backing Liverpool.

Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall says coming up against Liverpool is always a tough game ahead of his side's Capital One Cup clash at Anfield

Charlie predicts: 2-0 (7/1 with Sky Bet)

    Betting

Liverpool are just 4/9 with Sky Bet to beat Bournemouth within 90 minutes, with the Cherries up against odds of 11/2 to win and 18/5 to take the tie to extra time.

With last season's top four still in the competition, Jurgen Klopp's men are 8/1 fifth favourites to lift the trophy, while Eddie Howe's side are 33/1 outsiders.
