Chesterfield fell victim to a Rene Howe late goal as they were denied a vital three points in a 2-2 draw with Morecambe. Stewart Drummond fired Morecambe into a sixth minute lead with a smart 18-yard finish. Chesterfield equalised after 15 minutes when Gregor Robertson sneaked in to volley home from close range after latching on to Darren Currie's cross. Chesterfield added a second thanks to Jamie Ward's penalty after 21 minutes following skipper Jim Bentley's trip on Jack Lester. But Howe - on loan from Peterborough - then netted from close range after 85 minutes to level to score.
