Sunderland have confirmed the departures of Steven Fletcher, Wes Brown and Danny Graham after their contracts expired.
The former first-team trio have been left off of the club's retained squad list for the 2016/17 season with the Black Cats also allowing goalkeeper Steve Harper to leave.
Graham and Fletcher both spent the second half of the season away from the Stadium Light with loan spells at Blackburn and Marseille respectively.
Fletcher joined Sunderland in a £12m move from Wolves in 2012 and scored 23 goals in 108 appearances.
The 29-year-old Scotland international completed a January deadline-day loan deal to Marseille and admitted earlier this week that he had no expectations of continuing his career on Wearside.
Fellow striker Graham has also seen his Sunderland career fizzle out and managed just one goal in 42 appearances for the club after signing from Swansea in a £5m deal three years ago.
The 30-year-old is reportedly attracting attention from Celtic, while Blackburn are also thought to be keen to bring the forward back to Ewood Park.
Brown will see his injury-hit Sunderland career draw to a close after five years with the club.
The former Manchester United defender has struggled to maintain his fitness with just six appearances in the Premier League last season.
Former Newcastle goalkeeper Harper leaves the club having failed to make an appearance after joining up on a short-term deal in January to provide cover for Vito Mannone and Jordan Pickford.
