Sheffield United goalkeeper George Long has signed a new contract with the club.

The Sheffield-born stopper, 22, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, having agreed terms last week while away on holiday.

"I am glad it's finally sorted and George can now come back in for pre-season training later this month fully focused on his football," Blades boss Chris Wilder told the club's official website.

"It's great that he has committed the next chapter of his career to the club and hopefully now we can move forward together."
