Danny Graham said it is good to be back after completing a permanent move to Blackburn.

Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of former Sunderland striker Danny Graham on a two-year contract, with the option of a third year.

The 30-year-old was out of contract after being released by the Black Cats earlier this month.

Graham, who moved to Sunderland from Swansea City for £5m in January 2013, spent the second half of last season on loan at Blackburn, scoring seven goals in 18 appearances.

"I'm delighted to get everything sorted," Graham told Sky Sports News HQ after completing his move to Ewood Park.

"It's been a long summer to talking to different people but the gaffer has spoken to me a lot over the phone. I'm delighted to have everything sorted and I'm looking forward to pre-season, staring on Monday."

That was the latest in a number of loan moves from the Stadium of Light where he struggled to make his mark as he scored just one goal in 42 appearances.

The Gateshead-born player was also loaned out to Hull City, Middlesbrough - where he began his career - and Wolves during his time at Sunderland.

Graham, who made his name at Carlisle and Watford before moving to Swansea for £3.5m in 2011, had attracted interest from a number of clubs until Rovers won the race for his signature.
