Marko Marin joins Olympiakos after ending four-year spell with Chelsea

Olympiakos have signed Marko Marin from Chelsea after just 16 appearances in four years.

Marin joined Chelsea in 2012 on a five-year deal from Werder Bremen, but made just 16 first-team appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge - scoring one league goal.

The midfielder, now 27, was sent out on loan to Sevilla, Fiorentina, Anderlecht and Trabzonspor as he struggled to break into the senior squad at Chelsea, and has now been allowed to leave on a permanent deal this summer with the club wishing him well in the future on their official website.

Marin, who claimed it was his 'dream move' to come to Chelsea four years ago and said he had turned down interest from Tottenham Hotspur, has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Olympiakos.
