Alexandre Pato has become the latest high-profile player to move to China, signing for Tianjin Quanjian.

The 27-year-old Brazilian, who spent time on loan at Chelsea last year, has been with La Liga side Villarreal since the start of the season, but will join Tianjin manager Fabio Cannavaro for the new Chinese Super League campaign.

Pato announced his deal on social media by posting a picture alongside Italian World Cup winner Cannavaro, saying: "I'm very happy to be part of this new family Tianjin Quanjian."

Named Europe's best player in 2009, Pato was signed by AC Milan before his 18th birthday but moved back to Brazil to join Corinthians in 2013.
