Bournemouth are in advanced talks with out-of-contract winger Connor Mahoney.
The 20-year-old made 18 appearances for Blackburn Rovers last season as they were relegated from the Championship.
Mahoney was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, while new Middlesbrough manager Garry Monk is also reportedly a fan, but Bournemouth are in pole position to sign him.
Because Mahoney is under the age of 24, Bournemouth would have to agree compensation with Blackburn, or see a tribunal fix the price.
Mahoney was signed by Blackburn from Accrington Stanley as a teenager in December 2013.
