Centre-back Aden Flint has signed a new deal with Bristol City which could keep him at the club for another three-and-a-half years.
Flint's new contract at Ashton Gate includes a club option to extend it until the summer of 2021.
The 28-year-old was linked with a number of Championship rivals over the last two transfer windows, with Birmingham understood to have made a £3.5m offer to sign him last summer.
Flint, who joined City from Swindon in 2013, has won the club's player of the year award twice since that move.
Head coach Lee Johnson said: "Aden has been in terrific form this season and this new contract is a reward for his performances and efforts for the team."
Flint has been a threat in attack as well, scoring 15 goals in 2014-15 when City claimed the League One title and won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
He has added a further eight goals in 37 appearances this season in all competitions.
