Brighton striker Viktor Gyokeres has signed a new three-year contract to keep him at the Amex Stadium until June 2022.
The 20-year-old Sweden international is yet to make his Premier League debut but has played five times in cup competitions for Chris Hughton's side this season.
Gyokeres was also an unused substitute for league games against Cardiff, Everton and Manchester United.
Brighton U23 manager Simon Rusk told his club's official website: "It's clear to see Viktor's potential - we brought him to the club as a young player and he's continuing to show progress both on and off the field.
"He needs to remain grounded and hard-working, which are key ingredients in any young player's development. If he does those things, then I'm sure he can fulfil his potential."
The player himself is keen to continue improving and feature in a Premier League game for the Seagulls.
"It's been good to train with the first team and travel with them to away games this season - it's been a great experience and hopefully there will be more of that in the future," Gyokeres said.
"Next season I want to do better than I've done this year. Of course I'd like to play in the first team, but I've got to work hard in pre-season, see what happens and what is best for me."
Gyokeres, who was signed from IF Brommapojkarna in August 2017 and arrived at Brighton in January 2018, has won two caps for his country, scoring once.
He made his Albion debut in August's Carabao Cup defeat to Southampton before playing four times in the club's run to the FA Cup semi-finals.
