Fulham new boy relishing Premier League challenge

New Fulham signing Eddie Johnson has revealed that his January move to the Premier League has been "a dream come true". The America international, who made his debut for the club against West Ham last weekend, admits it is a huge relief to finally secure his move to England after turning down a move to Derby last summer. "It was a big relief to have everything sorted out once and for all," Johnson told the club's official website. "I was waiting on the hearing but once that went through and my work permit arrived, that's when everything hit me and I could really get excited about the new challenge.

Fierce

The former Kansas City Wizards striker admits he will have to prove his worth to manager Roy Hodgson with competition for a starting place fierce at Craven Cottage. "Everyday is a big challenge, nothing over here is guaranteed to you as a player," Johnson said. "You have to prove yourself on a daily basis and I think that is one of the major differences with the MLS."
