Ricketts denied entry into UK

Bradford goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts looks set to have played his last game for the club after being refused entry back into the UK upon his return from international duty last Friday. The 30-year-old had a valid passport and work permit but did not have the necessary stamp in his documentation to meet UK employment laws. City could have applied for a new work permit but it would have been turned down because Ricketts' contract with the Bantams ends in the summer and Jamaica are no longer in Fifa's top 70 rankings. "We tried everything we could to get Donovan back in but rules are rules," Bantams boss Stuart McCall told The Telegraph and Argus: "I like the fella and I'm disappointed that he's back in Jamaica. I would love him to get back but the longer things go on, it doesn't look good."
