Leyton Orient defender Alton Thelwell has been ruled out for the rest of season with a knee problem which has plagued him throughout the second half of the campaign.
The former Tottenham trainee is now set to see a specialist on Thursday as the O's finally look to resolve the issue.
"While Alton has returned to the team in recent weeks the knee is still giving him trouble at times," manager Martin Ling told the Croydon Guardian
"With the play-offs now looking beyond us we don't want to risk the situation any further, and feel it is best that he gets it looked at by a specialist so that we can get it right for next season."
