Striker set for German switch

Hearts chief Csaba Laszlo has conceded defeat in his bid to sign Slovakian striker Adam Nemec. Laszlo is keen to bolster his attacking options at Tynecastle and had targeted a move for Genk hit-man Nemec. Hearts held talks with Nemec, but they failed to agree a deal with the 23-year-old with Kaiserslautern now believed to be in pole position to sign the player. Laszlo has admitted his disappointment in missing out Nemec and will now look elsewhere for a new striker. "I was interested in Nemec but we haven't been able to come to an agreement with him so we must look at other solutions for a new striker," Laszlo told the Daily Record. "We wanted Nemec but so did Kaiserslautern and he has made a decision. "Just because it's your wish to sign a player it doesn't always mean you get him. The player has to have a desire to sign and this didn't happen. "It didn't work out for us and we now move on to other targets."
