Burkina Faso striker interested in England

Moumouni Dagano, the leading scorer from the African World Cup qualifiers, admits he would love the chance to play in England. The 28-year-old Burkina Faso marksman bagged 12 goals during the recent World Cup qualifiers, more than the likes of Samuel Eto'o, Fredi Kanoute and Didier Drogba. Dagano is currently plying his trade in Qatar with Al Khor, but before that he played in Belgium and France. Now his achievements in qualifiers have seen him attract interest from the Premier League, with Birmingham and Wigan both linked. Dagano admits he would relish the chance of moving to England and he hopes a good performance during the African Cup of Nations in Angola next year will aid his chances. "I am very happy to lead the goalscoring chart ahead of all the world class strikers all over Africa," said Dagano. "My ambition is to play one day in England because their football is close to my own game. Hopefully, the African Nations Cup will give me that opportunity."
