Eintracht keeper set for Bulgarian switch

Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Jan Zimmermann is on the verge of joining Bulgarian side PSFC Chernomorets Burgas. The 24-year-old has struggled for opportunities at the Commerzbank Arena this season and is currently the Bundesliga club's fourth-choice shot-stopper. Zimmermann has just completed a trial period in Bulgaria and is hopeful his performances could have earned him a move. He told the Frankfurter Rundschau: "It was a good experience but I'm still waiting for a verdict on my performances from them. "I was pleased with the way I played though and would not have made the trip down to Bulgaria if I had no interest in joining them. "There are four German players in their squad already and the manager [former Bulgaria international Krassimir Balakov] also speaks German. "I have no fears about settling there if they do offer me the chance to join them." Zimmermann's contract with Eintracht expires at the end of the season and manager Michael Skibbe is confident he will be a success in the Bulgarian top flight. Skibbe said: "Jan needs to make up his mind if this move is right for him, but I believe things could work out well for him."
