Cologne have completed the signing of Brazilian full-back Andrezinho on a Bosman transfer.

Bundesliga club also dismiss reports of Real Madrid approach

Cologne have completed the signing of Brazilian full-back Andrezinho on a Bosman transfer. The Bundesliga club's general manager, Michael Meier, revealed last week that they were close to concluding a deal for the right-back, who was formerly with Portuguese club Victoria SC Guimaraes. And Meier has now confirmed that the versatile Andrezinho, 28, has signed a contract at the RheinEnergieStadion until June 2012. Meier told Cologne's official website: "We are delighted to have been handed the opportunity to sign Andrezinho. "He is an attacking full-back, he is versatile and he has good technique. He can play on either the right or left side of defence. "Andrezinho is the sort of player we were looking for and he will therefore be a valuable addition to our current squad." Meanwhile, Meier insists that he has not received an approach from Real Madrid for defender Pedro Geromel. He told BILD: "There is no enquiry, there is no bid. We do not see any reason to part company with the player."
