Stuttgart striker Martin Harnik has committed to the club by signing a four-and-a-half-year contract extension. The Austria international is now under terms at Mercedes-Benz-Arena until the summer of 2016. Harnik, who scored six goals and assisted another four prior to the Bundesliga's winter break, is happy to have signed the new deal and to have displayed his loyalty to Stuttgart. The 24-year-old told Bild: "I have enjoyed great form since I arrived at Stuttgart in 2010. I am aware what this club means to me. Also I like to show reliability." Stuttgart are pleased to have secured Harnik's future and general manager Fredi Bobic had no doubts about offering the contract. He said: "We are glad to have worked out a new deal with Martin Harnik. "Martin is a first-team regular. He is just a perfect addition to our club, as a player as much as a person."
