Genoa have confirmed they have agreed a deal to sign Fiorentina midfielder Juan Manuel Vargas.
Genoa have been chasing the winger all summer and they are now set to land the Peruvian before the transfer window closes on Friday.
Fiorentina are willing to let Vargas move on having brought in several new signings this summer and Genoa have moved to keep him in Serie A.
A Genoa statement read: "The agreements have been found and should there be no complications, they move will be defined after that.
"Vargas on Thursday will arrive in Genoa to meet the club's officials and to undergo medicals."
