Riordan and Fotheringham could be set to join SPL outfit

Derek Riordan and Mark Fotheringham are training with Ross County this week, with the possibility of joining the squad of the SPL club. Striker Riordan has scored 95 SPL goals in his career, while Fotheringham is a skilful midfielder. County boss Derek Adams says both players have other options but he is excited about the possibility of securing their services. Quoted by STV, he said: "Derek and Mark are training with us and both are players who have got creative ability.

Decision

"One can score goals, the other can create chances and both will be with us until the end of the week. "Derek has a proven record. He's the third highest goalscorer in the Scottish Premier League, he's only 29 and he's a player I think can score goals for Ross County. "We won't make a decision either way until next week because we're giving the boys a look at the football club and it allows us to look at them as well. "They both have opportunities to go elsewhere but they are both guys who could fill a gap in our squad."
