Teenage striker Carlton Morris admitted making his Norwich debut was "a great feeling".

The 19-year-old academy graduate was introduced as a substitute with 13 minutes left in the Canaries' 1-0 defeat by Wigan at Carrow Road last Wednesday.

He told canaries.co.uk: "I'd been waiting nine years for that so it was a great feeling to get on the pitch at Carrow Road.

"It was mixed emotions as we lost but there was still the elation of making my debut in a massive year for the club as we try to bounce back to the Premier League.

"I found out I was going to be in the matchday squad a couple of days before, which gave me a couple of days to think.

"I was buzzing but you've just got to relax and have as much confidence in yourself as you can. It was all about getting used to a first-team occasion but was very enjoyable.

"The aim is to not just be another body but to make a positive impact on the team. Whenever I'm called upon, I'll be ready."
