John Arne Riise recreates his famous free-kick against Man Utd

Who remembers John Arne Riise’s brilliant free-kick for Liverpool against Manchester United back in 2001?

If not, then have no fear because the Norwegian recreated the famous goal on the first Soccer AM of the new season.

With Tubes taking the place of Sami Hyypia in the wall, Fenners, aka Dietmar Hamann, rolled the ball across to Riise, who rolled back the years and thundered the ball right into the top corner just as he did 15 years ago.

There may have been no goalkeeper this time around but just like the first strike, which left Fabian Barthez with no chance, not many goalkeepers would have stopped the rocket.

Riise, who spent seven years at Anfield, joined Fenners and Helen on the Soccer AM sofa to talk about his time at Liverpool and his own future.
