Gianluigi Donnarumma had fake money thrown towards his goalmouth during Italy's European U21 Championship win over Denmark on Sunday.
The 18-year-old, who last week confirmed he would not be renewing his contract with Serie A side AC Milan, has been linked with a move to Juventus, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in the European press.
And when defending a corner, a small number of fans behind his goal threw fake notes into the goalmouth, before the referee ordered for stewards to clear the mess before play could continue.
In quotes carried by La Gazzetta dello Sport last week, AC Milan director Marco Fassone said: "We are disheartened. [Donnarumma's agent] Mino Raiola has conveyed to me Donnarumma's decision not to renew. It's his final decision."
Italy beat Denmark 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini, with a spectacular overhead volley, and a late strike from Andrea Petagna.
Earlier on Sunday, Germany beat the Czech Republic 2-0 with goals from Max Meyer and Serge Gnabry.
